Brink of DespairMy head throbs like the beating of a drum, Sporadic flashed of pain lighting up my mind. I sit, head in my hands, feet tapping along with the rhythm, The imaginary radio I listen to on surf. Trying to ignore the pain I stand, Make my way out of my barren room. Sunlight hurts my eyes once I'm outside. I squint to filter it out but it is too late, The bright day makes my pain unbearable. My knees wobble and I sit to regain my composure. Shadows move past, temporarily enveloping me in darkness, Brief respite from the harsh rays of the sun. Suddenly a shadow stops over me. &nBrink of Despair

untitledClouds blanketed the whole sky on an otherwise normal day. The villagers knew it was a dark omen, but they went about their business as usual anyway. Still there were some brave enough to talk. These few villagers told of the wrath of many gods. There was to be a storm the likes of which had never been seen before. For the most part everyone ignored the warnings. They went about their business as usual, only thinking of the tasks at hand. What happens in the future is dealt with in the future. That was always the was of the small village, and it worked.&nuntitled
